Almost 40 people attended our first general body meeting! The event featured a highlights reel of our upcoming spring events (both new and old). After, 1Ls were treated to panel of five upperclassmen students who touched on the 1L job search process, tips for leveraging fall semester grade releases, and how to keep a healthy and positive mindset for the spring semester. Santa Rosa Taqueria catering was provided.
We are actively supporting our 1Ls with APALSA's first Winter Walk-Around program. This event spans Friday, January 24 and Friday, January 31 with five of our top firm sponsors: Gibson Dunn, Sidley, Milbank, Akin Gump, and Kirkland & Ellis. Students have a rare opportunity to walk the floors of these elite DC firms and meet-and-greet with attorneys, setting the groundwork for long-lasting mentorships.
