Perry Cao

PRESIDENT (EXTERNAL AFFAIRS)

Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA

Undergrad: Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, Class of 2017

(B.S., International Politics/Security Studies)

About: I lived in Copenhagen, Denmark as a child, learned to speak fluent Danish, and then forgot it all after moving to the States. I speak Mandarin almost fluently. I love playing frisbee and captained the Georgetown University team in undergrad. Aside from APALSA, I am also a Legal Research and Writing Law Fellow and the Publicity Chair of the Barristers' Council Appellate Advocacy Division. Career-wise, I hope to one day work in national defense or foreign policy, but am also interested in pursuing litigation. I am a huge Steelers fan, huge Penguins fan, and avid Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan enthusiast.

Also I love my dog more than most things.

Riah Kim

ACADEMIC CHAIR

Hometown: Olney, MD

Undergrad: New York University, Class of 2017

(B.A., Economic Policy, Minor in Politics)

About: I was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to the United States as a child. Although I've lived in the D.C. area for most of my life, I consider myself a New Yorker at heart. Some proof of this: I consume way more coffee than the average human, I love buying overpriced hippie food from WholeFoods, and I have little patience for slow walkers. After law school, I hope to pursue a career in litigation and continue living as a coffee snob.
