First General Body Meeting
Thank you to everyone who attended our First General Body Meeting! Over 60 students attended, with over 35 of the students being new J.D. students or LLMs. Southern comfort food (saucy BBQ meatballs, herb-roasted chicken, vegetarian pasta, and garlic mashed potatoes) were catered from Made with Love Catering.
Every year, our First General Body Meeting (GBM) is the first opportunity for many new students to meet our Executive Board members, learn about the fall event programming, and opportunities to get involved in the planning of our organization. For example, we introduced our Representative Program, which invites new students, 2Ls, 3Ls, transfer students, and LLMs to join our Executive Board to voice the opinions and concerns of the sections they respectively represent. We also introduced a new partnership with The Global Pro Bono Bar Association, an international collective comprised of lawyers, academics, and students who work on critical and substantive issues facing the international community today. To learn more about our event programming, check out our Fall 2019 calendar here!
A copy of today's presentation will be made available along with an overview of what was discussed in our next weekly newsletter on Monday, 9/23.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Academic Panel next Wednesday (9/25) at 3:30pm in McD 141. Join the Facebook event so we can continue to order enough food for all attendees here.
