Thank you to everyone who attended the Georgetown Law Center's Reunion Weekend. In coordination with the Office of Alumni Affairs, APALSA hosted a keynote and reception with Congressman Ted Lieu, L'94 (D-CA), who was welcomed back at the Law Center for his 25th Class reunion.
The event started off with a short reception where the Congressman interacted with current students. Dean William Treanor joined us to make opening remarks, and the Congressman shared insights into some of the trending issues he is working on ranging from the Syria crisis to election hacking. The Congressman also fielded questions from students and alumni who were interested in asking about issues related to diversity, APA representation, and automation. Afterward, students were able to meet our many alumni who attended the event and learn about their wide array of experiences.
APALSA has many upcoming events. We are hosting a Bar Review on October 24 from 9:00pm-1:00am at Brixton. Georgetown APALSA has also invited the APALSAs from George Washington, American University, Catholic University, and the University of the District of Columbia. The following week, APALSA's Halloween Party will be on October 31 from 7:00-9:00pm at Rocket Bar. We hope to see you all there!
